Companion for iPhone

Privacy policy

Last updated 26 October 2026. Applies to the Companion app by ZeroState Labs (invite-only testing).

Companion is a voice and text assistant that remembers what you tell it. This page says plainly what the app does with your information. It is written for the invite-only test version of the app.

Who we are

Companion is made by ZeroState Labs. You can reach us at hello@zerostatelabs.ai.

Where your conversations go

The app does not run the AI on your phone. When you speak or type, the app sends that turn (your recording or text, and the personality you chose) over an encrypted connection to a computer run by ZeroState Labs. That computer turns speech into text, writes the reply, and sends the reply audio and text back. Nothing is sent to an advertising or analytics service.

What the app asks permission for

What is stored on your phone

Feedback you choose to send

The app has a feedback form. If you send feedback, we receive what you typed and the technical details you can review before sending. We use it only to improve Companion.

What we do not do

Apple’s TestFlight

The test version is delivered through Apple’s TestFlight. Apple collects your email address and may collect crash and usage data under its own privacy policy. We do not control that data.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete everything stored about you, or to stop your access, at any time by emailing hello@zerostatelabs.ai. You can also delete the app, which removes the access key and settings from your phone.

Changes

If we change what the app collects or where it stores information, we will update this page and tell testers before the change takes effect.
